Spring Break 2017

2017 is our last spring break holiday.   After Thanksgiving 2017 we will be officially retired.   Then we will be able to travel on our own schedule verses the school calendar and my work schedule.   Most people we know got to warmer places for spring break but not us.  This year we traveled to Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge.  The Refuse is located on hwy 140 on the Oregon/Nevada boarder.  for those that like crowds this is not the place to visit.  The Virgin Valley Campground never had more than 4 occupied sites at a time and the manager said in 15 years it was only full once.  There is a hot spring fed pond (about 80 degrees F) in the campground with also feeds two showers.  The showers were great after a day hiking.
